Nations Championship - Live on TV Rugby Union
2026
The rugby is getting a massive shake-up with the inaugural Nations Championship kicking off in July 2026. Replacing the traditional friendly test fixtures, this brand-new tournament pits the top six Southern Hemisphere nations against the top six from the North in a high-stakes global league.
The Northern Hemisphere heavyweights are coming Down Under first. The Wallabies will host three games on home soil:
- July 4: Wallabies vs. Ireland (Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney)
- July 11: Wallabies vs. France (Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane)
- July 18: Wallabies vs. Italy (HBF Park, Perth)
In November, the Wallabies head to Europe for three crucial away tests to finish the round-robin stage. The schedule includes a clash against England on November 8, followed by matchups against Scotland (November 15) and Wales (November 21).
It all culminates in a spectacular three-day, multi-game Finals Weekend at Allianz Stadium in London. All 12 teams will play one final match based on their ladder positions, leading up to a massive 1st vs. 1st Grand Final to crown the undisputed champion of global rugby.
The exclusive broadcast rights for the inaugural 2026 Nations Championship are held by Nine Entertainment.
Stan Sport is the official streaming service. They will broadcast every single match of the Nations Championship live and on-demand, completely ad-free during play. This includes all Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere pool matches, plus the Finals Weekend.
