The 2026 Australian Football League season is scheduled to begin on Thursday, March 19. The season concludes with the AFL Grand Final on Saturday, September 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

AFL matches can be watched live on both free-to-air and subscription television. Selected matches each round are broadcast live on the Seven Network, including key games and finals coverage, and these can also be streamed live through the 7plus platform. For viewers who want access to every match of the season, Fox Footy holds the rights to show all AFL games live, including those not available on free-to-air television. Fox Footy is accessible through Foxtel and can also be streamed via Kayo Sports, which provides full live and on-demand coverage of the competition.
