The Australian Diamonds are one of the most successful teams in international netball, with a proud history of winning major tournaments. They will arrive at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games as defending champions after claiming gold in Birmingham 2022. 

The Diamonds made history by winning the first Commonwealth Games netball gold medal in 1998 and have remained a powerhouse ever since. Their famous rivalries with New Zealand’s Silver Ferns and England’s Vitality Roses have produced some of the greatest moments in the sport.

Led by captain Liz Watson, the Diamonds combine world-class experience with exciting young talent. With stars across every position, Australia will be aiming for another gold medal against their biggest rivals, including England, New Zealand and Jamaica.
